We are excited to welcome Jane Park ’96 and Taytiana Welch-McClure ’13 as the 2024-2025 Tapestry Co-Chairs!
Thank you to our past Tapestry co-chairs, Emily Murase ’87 and Lori Perine ’80. They took on an important leadership role during the pandemic, and ushered in new programming opportunities for BIPOC alumnae/i to enjoy.
Tapestry Mission and Vision Statement: supported by the Alumnae/i Relations and Development Office, Tapestry contributes to the alumnae of color community of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø by: strengthening a connected network anchored in mutual trust and respect; advancing constructive and inclusive dialogue; and celebrating our diverse history and experiences.

Take a Break with Tapestry
Take a break from your routine and learn from and do something new with fellow BIPOC ºÚÁÏÉçÇø alumnae/i. Examples of programs to include: How to become an outdoor explorer, mindfulness and meditation, tools to simplify, culinary explorations, etc.

Thursday, Sept. 23 at 6:00 p.m. EDT
Join Sheila Walker '66, a cultural anthropologist and documentary filmmaker, and explore a myriad of Afrodiasporic cultural manifestations through several decades of her profession and personal exploration. As part of the break, please view in advance Sheila's documentary (30 minutes), Familiar Faces/Unexpected Places: A Global African Diaspora which was screened at the United Nations (2018). During the Take a Break event, the group will discuss, reflect, and celebrate the rich cultural ties that connect the African Diaspora together.
